The diversified indastrial association «Kuzbass» is a socially responsible business. As regards to ratio of total output to expenses on social welfare programs, it occupies a leading position in the region. The average salaries and employment benefits offered to the staff of industrial companies are among the most attractive in the region. The collective agreements concluded at the enterprises of the association provide expenses for rehabilitation of the employees and members of their families, veterans of work, financial aid to employees. Retired employees of the association also get support on a monthly basis. Financial aid is also received by children of the perished miners of Kuzbass. The diversified indastrial association «Kuzbass» actively participates in implementation of the national priority projects and social programs of Kemerovo region. In 2009 153 million roubles were spent for these purposes. Considerable funds are invested in health care of the workers. Low-income groups receive coal as charity. The companies of the holding launched a number of charitable programs to support elderly people, pensioners and the disabled, orphan children and other people in need. The companies provide financial support to socially significant facilities such as community and recreation centers.

Extracting coal, manufacturing complex machinery, raising crops, we realize that the future success of manufacture is based on spiritual health of employees and the feeling of the common goals and love for the neighbor. The orthodox communities opened at the «Kuzbass» holding provide the employees with an opportunity to turn to traditional cultural wealth of the nation, the faith of their forefathers. House temples of the diversified indastrial association «Kuzbass» have became centres of spiritual education, and this education bears good fruit.

The temple of Saint Serafim of Sarov in Zarechnaya mine is the first chapel at an industrial company in Kuzbass. Today the Chapel of Candelamas is active at Yurginsky machine engineering plant. There are prayer halls in units of the agricultural holding. The building of a new church in Yurga is being erected these days. The foundation stones were laid and construction of new churches was blessed in Kalinino and Vozvyshenka villages.

The chapels have Orthodox sisterhoods, Sunday schools, brotherhoods of Orthodox pathfinders. Making pilgrimages to holy places is becoming a tradition. Parishioners support patients at hospitals and orphan children in hospitals and foster homes.
